On April 16, we released the first round of funding to help those impacted by COVID-19.

On May 22, United Way of Chatham County approved the second round of grants to address the most critical needs of Chatham's residents, as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Senior
Meals For Seniors

Chatham County Helpers are providing meals for 180 home-bound seniors. United Way's grant was awarded to the Chatham County Council on Aging.

Food Insecurity
Emergency Food

Chatham County Helpers are providing emergency food
for families and individuals through the food pantries
in Pittsboro (CORA) and in Siler City (West Chatham Food Pantry).

Prescription Assistance

Chatham County Helpers are providing prescription assistance to seniors and those who have been laid-off. United Way's grant was awarded to Chatham Cares Community Pharmacy and Piedmont Health Services.

Houses
Rental Assistance and Shelter for the Homeless

Chatham County Helpers are providing rental assistance and hotel stays for the homeless during the Coronavirus pandemic. United Way's grant was awarded to
Chatham's Salvation Army.

Telemedicine
Mental Health Services

Chatham County Helpers are providing access to mental health services, as a result of the pandemic. United Way's grant was awarded to El Futuro to provide virtual counseling sessions to navigate these unprecedented times.

United Way Helpers are providing essential health and cleaning supplies to child care facilities. Chatham County Partnership for Children was awarded United Way's grant to ensure safety in essential child care facilities.

Chatham County COVID-19 Response Fund

The United Way of Chatham County and Chatham County Government are supporting residents impacted by the Coronavirus, by establishing the Chatham County COVID-19 Response Fund.   

The Chatham County COVID-19 Response Fund is accepting donations to support local children and families impacted by the virus. United Way and the County will coordinate with local nonprofits to determine ongoing needs and fund distribution. 100% of your donation will be distributed to front-line nonprofits addressing urgent and critical needs as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.

  – Prescription Assistance
  – Childcare Services
  – Mental Health Services
