Coronavirus Update

The United Way of Chatham County and Chatham County Government are supporting residents impacted by the Coronavirus, by establishing the Chatham County COVID-19 Response Fund.   

The Chatham County COVID-19 Response Fund is accepting donations to support local children and families impacted by the virus. United Way and the County will coordinate with local nonprofits to determine ongoing needs and fund distribution. 

Areas of anticipated need include:

  • Food insecurities and other critical resources for homebound seniors and families with children
  • Childcare services
  • Financial support like rental assistance and utilities
  • Medical access such as transportation, prescription refills and homebound supports
  • Mental Health Services

How your gifts are making an impact

People will have access to balanced meals and snacks to ease food insecurity.
Individuals will have an improved quality of life through stable housing, employment opportunities and access to health care.
Children will be provided with positive in-school, after-school and summer enrichment programs.
Residents will be provided with emergency assistance and opportunities to provide financial stability for their families.
