Meet our new Communications and Grants Specialist
Please join us in welcoming Elizabeth Eichen, United Way of Chatham County’s new Communications and Grants Specialist. Elizabeth started on Monday, September 21, and we could not be happier to have her joining our team and leading our communication efforts to share our impact. We think you’ll enjoy getting to know her.
A little more about Elizabeth:
Elizabeth is excited to join the United Way of Chatham County as its Communications and Grants Specialist. Originally from Apex, she attended Appalachian State University, graduating with a B.S. in Communication Studies and a minor in Sustainable Development. Following graduation, she returned to the Triangle to pursue a career centered on impact-driven storytelling. Her experience spans food security, rural community advocacy, renewable energy, and economic justice, with a background in managing communications for small government, corporate, and non-profit offices. Elizabeth is guided by the belief that effective communication is empathetic, informative, and accessible to all. Outside of work, she loves spending time outdoors, making art from thrifted and repurposed materials, and reading and writing creative fiction.
