Tlogo_30_shrunkriangle Community Foundation Accepting Proposals for Support for People Capacity Building Partnerships

The Foundation partners with local organizations that provide support for people and places by investing in youth literacy, community development, environmental conservation, and regional cultural arts.

What Nonprofits Need to Know

The Support for People Capacity Building Partnerships Program is currently accepting proposals for its 2014-2015 cycle from organizations addressing youth literacy and community development. This program will provide support for organizational assessments and capacity building projects to organizations that fit within these areas.

Funds will be provided to build the capacity of organizations that have shown success in helping to improve the following:

  • Children’s reading by third grade
  • Access to well-integrated permanent housing, mental and physical health and employment services

The Foundation invites 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations, religious congregations, and governmental agencies based in Chatham, Durham, Orange, and Wake counties to apply. Organizations operating under fiscal sponsorship of a tax-exempt nonprofit are eligible to apply when collaborating with a 501(c)(3) that meets all other criteria.

All proposals must be submitted using the Foundation’s online system. A committee of community volunteers will review proposals and recommend grants. Site visits may be requested for finalists.
